Get a taste of Forest Bathing / Shinrin Yoku

Do you long for a little time out? Just take in the soothing and inspiring forest atmosphere - mindful, now and here! Forest Bathing / Shinrin Yoku is an acknowledged method for preventive health care in Japan for more than 30 years. You can now try and find out if you want to share its restorative benefits. Once in shining morning light and once in comforting evening mood, we open all our senses to the wonderful forest. Simple breathing and moving exercises and little thoughts help with the process of relaxation. We enjoy time to discover and admire, and balance body, mind and soul.

We go out to the forest for 2 - 3 hours and cover a distance of 2 - 3 km. We walk very slowly, stand, sit. Forest bathing is possible (almost) regardless of the weather. In case of storm and strong rain, it may be cancelled at short notice. Therefore, please leave your mobile phone number upon registration.

Please bring: Safe shoes, warm and weather-proof clothing, cushion, soft-drink and snack, money for fare for public transport.

Please do not bring: anything which distracts attention (dog, camera, active phone)

 

Forest Bathing / Shinrin Yoku: More or less a walk in the forest?

Listen to a theoretical introduction how easy it can be to balance body, mind and soul with the simple art of forest bathing. Background and outlook will be complemented with a little forest fantasy.

Taking in the forest atmosphere, mindful, slow, now and here - this is how the Japanese Shinrin Yoku can be translated. Also in other countries, this meditative experience amongst the treet attracts more and more people with a desire to have a green break (again).
